Office:

ATTENTION
7TH GRADE PARENTS: State Law
mandates that all children entering 7th grade must have a tetanus booster.
This information must be provided to the Health Office no later than

4th GRADE
PARENTS:
It is required that all 4th grade students have an up to date
physical on file in the nurse’s office.
·
The nurses have gone around to each class to review with
the children all they should be doing to protect themselves from airborne
viruses. Purell dispensers have been
placed at the doors of the cafeteria for those coming in from recess to lunch.
Also, teachers will be sanitizing desktops each week.
·
During
the Open House evenings scheduled for Sept. 21 (K1-5) and Sept. 22nd
(Middle School), the nurses will be giving an update regarding the H1N1 flu.
·
A
gentle reminder: We encourage healthy lunches for the children. ”Luncheables”,
which contain large amounts of sodium and fat, are not the best choices for the
children.
·
Volunteers
are needed for Health Screening Days October 5 and 6. Testing will include;
HT.,Wt., Vision, Hearing and Posture. Training is available. Please call the
nurse’s office. Thank You!
NOTES FROM THE OFFICE:
Ø Please remember to call the school
to report absences and send a note to the school
office when the children return to school.
Ø The children are not permitted to make telephone calls
for forgotten items (i.e. Lunches, money, books, reports, etc.) Only
“Emergency” messages will be given to the children during the school day.

- DIRECTORY PREPARATION: We are
working on the directory to get it out to you as soon as possible.
If you have a correction to make to your entry from last year’s directory,
please send it to Mary Chowdhury at mchowdhury@rcn.com. We will
also incorporate any changes noted on the red sheet that is due back to
school with the rest of the documents. THANK YOU!
- HARVEST NIGHTS AUCTION...SAVE THE
DATE...October 17th
Thanks to the hard work of our Auction
Committee over the summer months, preparations are well under way for our Fall
Auction, which remains one of the schools largest fundraisers of the year,
as well as the most enjoyable event for parents. This year the Auction
will be held at the Sheraton Tara in

Donations: The success of our
auction depends on generous donations from businesses and parents who share the
common goal of providing our children with an excellent education in the
Catholic tradition. Do you think you can help us out with a
donation item or service? Or maybe you know someone that can help us
out. We are always looking for new and creative Live Auction Items.
No donation or service is too small. Please return the attached form ASAP
as we are working to collect our auction items. If you have any questions

- The Auction committee is also looking for
donations of bottles of wine for the WINE RAFFLE at this year’s
auction. So check your wine rack and bring a bottle to donate, to
the Pot Luck Supper Friday September 18th in the school hall,
or to the Open Houses next Monday and Tuesday evenings. There will
be a box designated for these donations. Thank you!
- Volunteers: We are still looking for volunteers
to help with preparation prior to the Auction as well as the night
of. If you are interested in helping out with this exciting event,

- There is still time to RSVP! Come join
us at the Pot Luck Dinner on Friday night
(9/18) 6 – 8 in the school hall. The Pot Luck Dinner is open to all
family members. Please note the revised flyer attached to this memo.
- Free Childcare Available for Open House Nights!: 8th graders and a parent volunteer will be providing
childcare in the art room on the Open House nights, September 21 and 22.
Space is at a premium, so we ask that you reserve a slot for your child by
Friday, September 18. Reservations are limited to the first 25
respondents. Please email jryan@saintbridgetschool.info
to reserve your slot. This is a great way to enable both parents to attend
Open House while at the same time providing our 8th graders
with a community service opportunity.
