CORRECTION: Screenings Rescheduled: K1-KIN Parents - The K1 and Kindergarteners DO NOT have school on screening day the 3^rd of March.

Rescheduled: Faculty Retreat: Notice has already been sent home, so this is a reminder that the Faculty Retreat, originally scheduled for Friday, March 14 has been rescheduled for Friday, March 7th. Therefore, there will be NO SCHOOL on the 7th and there WILL be school on the 14th. 

Afternoon Pickup: Parents who pickup their children in the afternoon: Please park closer to Rt 9. As cars pull in and out closer to where the buses park, it is becoming more dangerous for the children. Also, if you have asked someone else to pick the children up, please tell them specifically that they must park close to Rt 9 and not up close to the buses. Thank You!

PTO NEWS:

• "3on3 Basketball Tournament" - Sunday, April 6,2008 @ Woodrow Wilson School from 1-5pm.  Registration now available - see website download.  This is a fun recreational activity for our school community and will include Jr & Middle School Girls' Teams, Jr. & Middle School Boys' Teams, Women's Teams and a Men's Division.  Pools will be determined based on registrations, so register early.  Registration Fee is $40 per team (made payable to St Bridget PTO) - 3 games guaranteed (if less than 3 teams are registered for a division, the division will be cancelled and registration returned).  Registration Deadline is Friday, March 14, 2008.  Send all registrations in to Aimee Fagan - PE Department.  Direct any questions to Aimee Fagan (508-376-9199).

• Gather your coins!  Gather your coins! The annual change drive is kicking off Monday February 4^th, and will last until February29^th. Each week we will collect the change, and count it, for each class. There will be three groups to determine the winning classes. 
• Grades K1-2
• Grades 3-5
• Grades 6-8

    The top class in each group will earn an ice cream/pizza party!    
    The overall top earning class will be awarded a dress down day!

• SHAW'S RECEIPTS: Send in any and all receipts from Shaw's Supermarkets.   Shaw's will give us 1% cash back for all the Shaw's receipts that we send them. A great deal!  They have already sent the school a check for $179.23.   You can even turn in receipts where you used your gift cards---a double bonus!  Any questions can be directed to Linda Generazio at lagenerazio@gmail.com.  There are collection envelopes in the church and at the front desk as well.  THANK YOU!

The Student Council's community service for February has involved helping the Pathways Family Shelter on Edgell Road. This shelter is always in need. We would like to invite the students of St. Bridget's to join us by donating the following items;

• Toiletries
• Baby items
• Cleaning supplies
• Towels

If you would like to donate any of these items, please drop them in the box provided in Room 15, Ms. Fannon's room, located on the second floor.  Thank you, The Student Council

The Weekly Memo - Put It To Use

The Weekly Memo continues to be St. Bridget School's primary method of communicating to the School community to keep you aware of important dates and news about what's happening. And now that it's distributed electronically and posted on the web site, we can take advantage of this timely communication even more! We need your help to make sure that it's complete with helpful information about all the good things going on at our School.

If you are a leader of a Club or Activity and have news to report, please send the updates our way and we'll be happy to get them  published. Those involved with the PTO, Chess Club, Science Club, Craft Club, Penny Drive, Papa Gino's Night, etc., and any other programs please send in your information (electronic format, please) to the Attention of Mrs. Feeney (pfeeney@saintbridgetschool.info) and Mrs. Mungovan (rmungovan@saintbridgetschool.info) by Friday at noon and the  information will appear in Monday's Weekly Memo.

From the Business Office: Saint Vincent de Paul
The St. Vincent de Paul need-based tuition assistance applications are now available for grades 1-8 only.  Please contact Mrs. Sebastian at 508-875-5959 if you would like an application. These are DUE back in her office on Friday, March 7, 2008.

Chess Club: St. Bridget's Chess Club will be hosting a friendly chess match with Barbieri Elementary School on Saturday, 02/16, from 9-10am in the school hall.
