From the Business Office: For those families who will be applying for financial assistance for 2010-11, you may go online now and file an application. Please be sure to advise Mrs. Sebastian in the tuition office if you are going to file so she may add your name to her list for consideration simone@stbridgetparish.org.

International Student Exchange Program: This program is such a great opportunity for the children to interact with children from another culture. The time period is January 6^th, through February 16^th and includes a stipend for the American Families. So far we have had a good response from families interested in hosting Korean Students. If any other families are considering taking part in this student exchange program, please get in touch with Mrs. Mungovan for more information. Thank you!

Cameras: Are you upgrading your digital camera for Christmas? Please think about donating your old one to Saint Bridget School. Every classroom could use a camera so those precious photo opportunities would not be lost. Please contact Maureen Dutile at jmdutile@verizon.net to donate. Thank you!
STOP & SHOP BONUS BUCKS: Stop & Shop has a new program where they offer “bonus bucks” to schools. The school receives bonus bucks for almost all purchases made using any Stop & Shop card registered with our school. If you have a Stop & Shop card, please register your card with our school (listed by state-town) at the program’s website www.stopandshop.com/aplus. Grocery Cards Make Great Gifts!!!

Hi Everyone,

As Christmas approaches, many times it is difficult to decide what to get as a gift. How about a grocery card to Shaws, Stop & Shop or Roche Brothers? We have them in $25, $50 and $100 denominations. Book It!: Coming home this week are the January Book It! Calendar pages. In order to meet your December reading goal, it will be necessary that students read over the Christmas break. Also, if you misplace your Book It! Calendar page, you will find a link to the Book It! Website where you can download a new one by going to the Frequently Asked Questions section of the Library’s TeacherWeb page.
Book Club News:The following students/families have recently donated books to the school’s library: Kailey Smith, the Dykeman family, Anna Maria Onnerud, and Alexandra Rider. Thank you all for the wonderful titles. If you wish to donate a book and need a suggestion, check out the Giving Tree.

FYI: Snow Days, Mr. Rick Gallagher, Director of School Transportation, relying largely upon the Dept. of Public Works and the Police Dept., as well as personal observations, will relay by telephone, the condition of the roads, sidewalks and parking areas at the schools to Dr. Steven Hiersche, School Superintendent. The Superintendent will make the decision and notify the school principals and the media. If the radio and television say there is no school in Framingham Public Schools, that means there is no school at St.Bridget’s.

The only circumstances under which Mrs. Mungovan would make the decision to close the school would be in an emergency specific to St. Bridget School.

In case of snow please do not call St. Bridget School. We will use our IRIS (Emergency Response System) to notify all families by telephone. Also you can check the radio and television for the announcement regarding Framingham Public Schools.” As far as calling school during the day, the same procedure is followed. Since we depend on the school buses, it is the school bus director and the Superintendent of Schools who make that decision and tell us, again we would use the IRIS telephone system to notify you.

Every parent should feel free to determine for themselves whether or not their child should come to school when the weather is questionable.

Applications for the 2010-2011 school year.

For those families that are interested in an Early Registration, there will be an Early Screening for K1 (4 year olds) and Kindergarten (5 year olds) on January 11, 2010. You need to send in your Admission Application by December 22, 2009 in order to be eligible for the early screening process. Applications may be downloaded from our website at www.saintbridgetschool.info or you may call the school. For questions please contact Mrs. Jennifer Ryan in the admissions office @x229. Open House for prospective parents will be held during Catholic Schools Week . Please feel free to bring along a friend!
