The Student Council of
Saint Bridget School has designed a new fun logo for our
school and
have had it re-created on T-Shirts, Hooded Sweatshirts and flannel Pajama
Bottoms just in time for the gift giving season! (see the attached flyer for a
picture). The T-Shirt for Grades 6,7,8 is dark green, for Grades K1-5 it is
yellow. It may be worn on Gym days (along with the 50th Anniversary
T-Shirt). The dark green Hooded Sweatshirt may also be worn on gym days in
place of the uniform sweatshirt. The flannel Pajama Bottoms, green/yellow
plaid, should be saved for Spirit “dress down” Days (not to be worn on gym
days) So, take a look at the flyer for
sizes, prices and directions for ordering. The deadline for ordering is Friday,
December 4th, with checks made out to
International
Student Exchange Program: This
program is such a great opportunity for the children to interact with children
from another culture. The time period is January 6th, through
February 16th and includes a stipend for the American Families. So
far we have had a good response from families interested in hosting Korean
Students. If any other families are considering taking part in this student
exchange program, please get in touch with Mrs. Mungovan for more information.

The Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention recommend that aspirin and aspirin containing products
not be given to children or young adults who are suffering from Flu like
illnesses. Labels may list aspirin or
acetylsalicylate, acetylsalicylic acid,
salicylic, salicylamide, phenyl salicylate. Alka-seltzer and Pepto-bismol
are two examples.

Used to train and certify over 120,000 babysitters nationwide each year, the Red Cross Babysitter's Training course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, role-plays, and lively discussions.
The course teaches young people how to:
" Supervise children and infants
" Perform basic child-care skills such as diapering, feeding and dressing
" Choose safe, age-appropriate games and toys
" Identify safety hazards and prevent injuries
" Care for common injuries such as burns, cuts and bee stings
" Communicate effectively with parents
" Find and interview for babysitting jobs
