Next week, along with Mrs. Logue, Mrs. Heistand and parent chaperones, the 5th and 6th graders will be spending the week at “Nature’s Classroom” in Maine. For those in other classes who have no idea what this is; Nature's Classroom is an experiential education program designed to support traditional classroom learning by teaching creative and practical applications of subjects taught in school. Students enjoy the informal, outdoor atmosphere and open themselves to new growth experiences. All facets of Nature's Classroom programming - from classes, field groups, and evening activities to meals, music, and games - have been specifically developed to encourage learning. Students learn about motivation, creativity, goal setting, cooperation, social interaction, self-confidence, and environmental awareness. Nature's Classroom is dedicated to meeting the needs of children in public, private and homeschool groups from 3rd grade up to high school. Mrs. Logue works very hard every year to organize this opportunity for the students and every time our children and parents go to this program their reaction is always overwhelmingly positive!!

Halloween Dress Down Day: On Wednesday, October 31st, Halloween, the children may have an “Orange and Black” dress down  day . If you and they wish them to take part please send them dressed in orange and black clothes and $1 which will be given to a children’s charity.

Picture Re-Takes: The date for picture re-takes is Monday, Nov 19th. Students having re-takes must bring the picture packet to return to the photographer. Anyone having pictures taken for the first time need to have an order form with them. Any one needing a new order form can  obtain one at the school office.

Tell your neighbors and friends!! There will be an Open House for prospective families on Thursday, November 15 at 6:30 pm.  This Open House has traditionally been very effective at meeting new families and potential students.  We will need parent volunteers, so if you would like to help, please contact Mrs. Mungovan..
