Weekly Memo               10/01/07
D’Angelos’ orders due Thursday

FROM THE HEALTH ROOM: Due to constant demand, the health room is already in need of snacks for their larder! Non peanut snacks would be especially appreciated. Both Mrs. Kane and Mrs. Connolly thank you in advance for your generosity.

FRIDAY is the First Friday of the month. This year we plan to continue what has become a tradition at St. Bridget School. We will be collecting non-perishable food and paper products for our Parish Food Pantry.  All non-perishable foods/paper products will be gratefully accepted during the first week of every month. The food will then be brought to the rectory by the Student Council members and presented to the food pantry in the name of St. Bridget Students. Also, they have  asked us to continue the practice that was begun last year, that of giving them gently used books for the children. They tell us that the children were thrilled to have a selection of books they would otherwise not have access to, so we will be accepting children’s books as well as food and paper goods. Thank you for your continued generosity!

2.Volunteer needed: I am looking for a volunteer to help out with the Kindergarten class during their Library period.  The class comes to library on Tuesday mornings from 10:24-11:07. This is a weekly commitment and duties include helping check books in and out, reshelving books and assisting the students in selecting books.  You do not have to be a Kindergarten parent to volunteer. Please no younger children in tow. If interested, please contact me at school. Thanks, Mrs. Buckley
