Catholic Schools Week



Saint Bridget School is proud to participate in National Catholic Schools Week – an annual celebration of Catholic educations in the United States.  This year’s theme is “Catholic Schools:  Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service”. Faith, knowledge and service are integral components of a Catholic education.  Please join us as we honor our Catholic education at Saint Bridget School.  We begin Sunday January 29, 2017.  Below is a calendar of events.

Sunday January 29, 2017 – Faith, Knowledge and Service in our Parish

  • 9:30am – Mass in the Upper Church
  • 10:30am – 1:00pm – Admissions Open House – School Tours, Meet the Teachers & Visit the Classrooms

Monday January 30, 2017 – Faith, Knowledge and Service in our Community

  • School-wide Community Service Day – all members of the SBS community will take part in a variety of community outreach program
  • Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten will host the 9:00am Mass attendees for coffee and breakfast after Mass.
  • Grades 2 – 8th will be out in the community performing community service projects for the morning

Tuesday January 31, 2017 – Faith, Knowledge and Service – Celebrating our Nation

  • 9:00am – Panel discuss with the Framingham Police Department – grades 5-8
  • 9:00am – Prospective Parent Open House
  • 1:00pm – Honoring Scouting – featured speaker:  Aidan Scamby – Eagle Scout – grades K-5th

Wednesday February 1, 2017 – Faith, Knowledge and Service – Step-Up Day and Celebrating our Volunteers

  • 9:00am – all students in grades Preschool – 7th grade will move up to the next grade level to discuss what to expect next year
  • 1:00pm – Volunteer Recption.  Please join us as we honor all of our wonderful volunteers

Thursday February 2, 2017 – Faith, Knowledge and Service – Celebrating Vocations and Teachers

  • 8:15am – Vocations Talk:  Fr. Carlos Suarez, followed by an all-school living Rosary
  • Saint Bridget School hosts the Parish Vocations Chalice
  • PTO sponsored Teacher Luncheon

Friday February 3, 2017 – Faith, Knowledge and Service – Celebrating our Students

  • Red, White and Blue Dress down Day
  • All school Spelling Bee (Rounds 1, 2 and 3 in the morning)
  • PTO sponsored Ice Cream Social during all lunches
  • 12:30 – Spelling Bee Semi-Final
  • 1:15 – Spelling Bee Final
